The Time is Right for Movebank
Thousands of Biologists collect animal movement data but there are no tools to save
or compare these. Most data are used once and then disappear into a filing cabinet.
Movebank facilitates long-term comparisons of these data making it possible to address
pressing questions such as the effects of global climate change and
human-caused landscape change.
It also compliments new technologies for collecting data in real-time by
providing live interaction and alerts.
